THE ORIGINS
Born in the sprawling tangle of Grand Rapids, MI. A spark ignited amidst the grid, rescuing iconic Michigan packaging and upcycling it into something raw, rugged, and completely unrepeatable.
These aren't mass-produced corpo clones. They are hand-cut, reinforced field journals built for the streets and the untamed wilds beyond the neon lights.
In a world obsessed with the shiny and new, we reclaim the discarded. We rip the past out of the compactor and hardware-flash it for your pocket. This is your distinct signature in a homogenized sprawl.

I was killing time in a local coffee shop the other day and ended up eavesdropping on some suit working a major corpo gig. He was holding court with a normal-looking choom who was fishing for a job referral, begging for the inside track on the hiring process. The suit was in full preacher mode, desperately trying to convince this guy that his company was the absolute apex. He kept going on and on about how "we" at the corp follow this deep, emotional credo. "We" put people first, "we" care about ethics—pure, unfiltered static. Then, right at the very end, he snuck in the word: shareholders.
First off, this gonk is throwing around "we" as if he actually owns a piece of the pie. In reality, he’s just a disposable cog in the machine. If the C-Suite was sitting in that meeting, "we" sure as hell wouldn't include his name. Secondly, the second shareholder dropped from his mouth, it flatlined any real, personable value the conversation had. But what really ground my gears was the fact that this suit was off the clock. He wasn’t getting paid, yet he was still stuck in salesperson mode, shilling the dream of BIG CORPO on his own free time. He was so puppeted, wired up and strung along, that he was working when he didn't even have to.
Let's make one thing crystal clear to end this story: We have no shareholders. We make preem, outstanding upcycled notebooks. We just want to make them the best they can be, treat the planet with actual respect, be nice, and spread positivity. We might not hit the mark every single time, but we try.
No credo, no stupid mantra, no "core tenets".
We don't optimize for the 1%.
